Most of us who only briefly reflect on it would say that no one knows what Jesus actually looked like, but that does not mean we cannot profitably speculate. To wit: given that Jesus has a divine Father who is pure spirit, then he would not have received any physical DNA from his Father. Instead, it stands to reason that Jesus received his physical characteristics from his mother, from whom he received his human nature.
Consequently, in answer to the question what does Jesus actually look like, we can answer: "Look into the face of Mary. There you will find the Son." Of course, this may beg the question of what Mary looks like, but it also opens us up to deeper reflections and prayerful meditation.
